I read an article that said leaving your closets half empty gives the illusion of space (something people want). Having bright lighting is also a plus. The thing that got me was to set your home price below the average price of homes in the area by 10 to 20 percent. It brings more people in and may set off a bidding war. Do any of these make sense? What are other good tips?

katie , I think this is a very useful tip since great competition exists in the home selling business. Apart from what you have just mentioned, it is important that the garden gets a unique appearance since this is what will first strike a home buyer.

That's an interesting tips. I imagine that if we start off too low, it's going to be hard to reach the house's real value. Buyers probably will feel more offended if we drag the process too long and give signs as if we are expecting more than what we write.

I imagine if the area is slow moving, sales wise, this tip could come back and bite you!

Indeed, this is a very interesting tip. I realized that the mind is generally quick to be receptive towards space. I believe setting the home price at that percentage can woo buyers and make you get a good bargain.
