Recently, I went for some workshop that drew various business owners from different sectors and this provided a wonderful platform to network. However, there were a few individuals who seemed too determined to sell their ideas, at times even forgetting to hand over their business cards.
I believe that such events are not places to close deals. I think the best thing to do is to briefly introduce yourself, explain what sort of business you do, find out what other people deal in then distribute the business cards. In this way, you can reach as many people as possible. What are your thoughts?
