I remember having a Yahoo email address back in the day but I think it became obsolete. This company basically dominated the online platform but has since struggled to catch up with competition in recent years. According to this post, Yahoo is being bought by Verizon for $4.83 billion (quite a sum if you ask me). I think this is a statement of good intent from Verizon, having bought AOL sometime last year for $4.4 billion.
